More than 100 years of worship at the Church of the Resurrection

In November 2022, we celebrated 100 years since the consecration of our church. We give thanks to God for all that has happened in the last hundred years, and we pray for boldness and vision for the next hundred!

Saturday 5th November, 4pm - Evensong

We welcomed Bishop Robert and a number of ecumenical and civic guests to this service of Choral Evensong, sung by our choir. Evensong is the jewel in the crown of our Anglican tradition, and a fitting way of giving thanks for the consecration of our church on this day, one hundred years ago.

Sunday 6th November, 10am - Eucharist with Confirmations

Bishop Robert confirmed members of our church family, as we gave thanks for our continued ministry and embraced our future and all that God has in store for us.

In conversation
with
Dennis
Deletant

Fr Nevsky had the privilege to speak with Dennis Deletant about his new memoir, In Search of Romania, published earlier this year. They talked about the ways Romania had changed since Dennis’ first visit in 1965, and Dennis shared his memories of our church and the British community over his long association with Romania.

Centenary Fund

This centenary year provides us with an excellent opportunity to consider our future, and how we are to continue to resource the future of Anglican mission and ministry in Romania. We have launched a new Centenary Fund to help us do this, with the target of raising 100,000 RON (a little over $20,300/£17,700) over the course of this coming year (2023). If you would like to help us meet this goal, then please see our donate page or write to Fr Nevsky at anglicanbucharest@gmail.com

Share your memories with us.

People from all over the globe have worshipped with us in the past, and we are always thrilled to hear from former members of our church community. In this centenary year, we are inviting members past and present to share their memories of life at the Church of the Resurrection!
