Planning a wedding can be a time of great joy, but also of great stress! Here at the Church of the Resurrection, we hope to make organising the religious aspect of the celebration as easy as possible.

Our iconic red-brick church, right next to Gradina Icoanei, is a beautiful place to celebrate your marriage; or, subject to availability, our priest may be able to travel out to a location of your choice to bless your marriage.

You don’t need to be a member of the Church of England for us to bless your marriage, and so very often interconfessional couples come to us for marriage blessings; or, as our services are in English, couples where one partner or their families understand English better than Romanian.

It is possible to arrange for an organist to play for the service, and details on how to do this are on the booking form which our priest will send you.

Our fees are broadly in line with the cost of marrying in a church in the UK, and more expensive if you would like our priest to come to a different venue, in Bucharest or beyond.

Please note that our priest will need proof of civil marriage before the service can take place.
